Changes in Committee Leadership Could Boost Tax Reform in the Next Congress
Dave Camp, the Michigan Republican who heads the House Ways and Means Committee, will try to revive flagging hopes for overhauling the U.S. tax code. However, President Obama’s appointment of Senate Finance Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.) as the next U.S. ambassador to China makes Camp’s efforts less likely to be successful.
